Every Room Has a Role.

We Make Sure It Plays It Well.

A home that feels right reveals itself slowly, in the way a hallway opens into a room, the way light lands on a surface, the way everything already has a place.

That's what we design for. Not rooms that impress at first glance, but spaces that earn their keep every day, ones that fit your life now and hold up over time.

Timeless isn't a style.

It's a standard.

Your style, done beautifully.

Modern living room with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV above a linear gas fireplace, a white modern armchair near a window with a floor lamp, and a black coffee table with books and decorative items, all in a bright space with neutral tones and a patterned area rug.

A well-designed home isn't a collection of rooms. It's a system, one that holds your daily life with intention, reduces what gets in the way, and reflects who you are with quiet confidence. At Studio Garrison, we work with homeowners who know what they want and trust us to deliver something beyond it. Our process is thorough, our standards are uncompromising, and every decision we make is guided by one question: Does this serve the way you actually live?

We take on a select number of residential projects each year, custom homes, significant remodels, and interior architecture, working with clients in Palm Desert and the Coachella Valley, across Oregon and Washington, and in premier resort communities throughout the West. The scale of the project doesn't change the standard. Neither does the location.

Kitchen Design

Where function becomes ritual.

The kitchen is the room that proves a home works. It's where mornings begin, where the day closes over a meal, where the quality of every decision,  layout, light, storage, material, is felt without thinking about it. We design kitchens that earn their place in your home: precise in their planning, considered in every finish, and built to serve the way your household actually moves through the day. Our kitchen designs are never borrowed from another project. They begin with you, your routines, your preferences, the details only you would notice, and are resolved until nothing is left to chance.

Bath Design

Restoration starts at home.

Bathroom with a freestanding bathtub by a large window with beige curtains, a double vanity with two sinks, a vase with flowers, and wall-mounted lights.

The best bathrooms don't announce themselves. They create a quality of experience that's hard to name and impossible to overlook, the right light at the right hour, materials that age with character, a sequence of space that feels unhurried even when you're not. We approach bath design with the same rigor we bring to every room: understanding how the space is used, who uses it, and what it should feel like before a single material decision is made. We design to a standard that holds.

Furniture

When the right piece doesn't exist yet.

Modern living room with large windows, mountain view, abstract chandelier, TV, fireplace, shelves with decor, patterned rug, armchair, and seating area.

There are spaces that demand something made specifically for them, built to the right scale, in the right material, resolved to the right detail. Our furniture design work begins where custom sourcing ends, creating pieces that belong to a room the way nothing off a showroom floor ever quite does. Each piece is conceived in context, never in isolation, and designed to feel inevitable from the moment it arrives. This is furniture as architecture, functional, enduring, and entirely your own.

  • “The team at Studio Garrison was incredible from top to bottom. They helped us design our house from the ground up and furnished it. They worked seamlessly with the architect and general contractor (GC). The plans they provided the GC were incredibly detailed. They leave no stone unturned.  We will use them again for any project requiring their services. Thanks Studio Garrison!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Designing a home at the level you're imagining raises questions that deserve careful answers. Below you'll find the ones we hear most often, answered honestly, so you can decide whether Studio Garrison is the right partner for your project.

  • The most important thing to look for is a team that thinks about architecture and interiors as one conversation, not two separate scopes handed off between firms. At Studio Garrison, our architectural designers lead every home project, from the earliest spatial decisions through to final finish selections, so the home has a single point of view throughout. For structural or landscape work, we bring in trusted consultants who already understand how we work. The result is a team that moves together, not one that has to be coordinated.

  • We focus on luxury remodels and new builds, significant whole-home remodels, and large additions where design decisions are genuinely complex. These are projects where the architecture, the interiors, and the way a family actually lives all need to be thought through together from the start. If you're considering a project of that scale, we'd love to have a conversation.

  • We move through four broad phases: discovery and programming (understanding how you live and what the home needs to do), concept design (establishing the spatial and aesthetic direction), design development and documentation (the detailed work that makes construction possible), and construction administration (staying involved on site so the design is executed as intended). Every phase has clear milestones and regular touchpoints, you're never left wondering where things stand.

  • Design alone for a significant remodel or addition typically runs six to twelve months, depending on complexity and the approvals required. Construction varies widely; a large addition might take eight to fourteen months on site. We're always honest about timelines early, because a project of this scale deserves realistic planning, not optimistic guessing.

  • We manage the consultant team on your behalf. Rather than leaving you to coordinate between an engineer, a landscape architect, and a designer who've never worked together, we bring in people we already have a working relationship with, professionals who understand our design process and communicate in the same language. You have one primary point of contact. We handle the rest.

  • We design our process so that your time is spent on decisions that matter, not chasing approvals or sitting through technical coordination meetings. There are key milestones where your input shapes the direction of the project, and we prepare thoroughly for those conversations so they're productive and enjoyable. Outside of those moments, we handle the complexity.

  • We stay involved throughout construction. Design intent is easy to lose once a project moves to the site — details get value-engineered, substitutions get made, and without an advocate in the room, the finished home can drift from the original vision. Our team visits regularly, reviews submittals, and works directly with the contractor to ensure what gets built matches what was designed.

  • The first step is a conversation. We'll take the time to understand your project, your home, and what you're hoping to create, and we'll be straightforward about whether we're the right fit. Reach out through our contact page and schedule a discovery call today.
