This 90-year-old house feels like new after we updated it to a modern layout that included a new formal dining room. We added a flare of drama with a saturated teal wall paint and draperies. Fun spaces like a children’s play space in the attic, and a man cave in the previously unused basement retain the elegance of the rest of the home while providing great spaces to relax.

Between updating the room configuration to add a formal dining room, and updating the lighting all throughout the house, this home feels contemporary without losing its historical charm. An update kitchen, bathrooms, attic, and basement tie the house together and provide modern amenities that don’t clash with the classic style.
